KUCHING: The public are welcomed to the three-day Road Safety Awareness Exhibition that started at The Spring Shopping Mall yesterday.
It is held in conjunction with the state finals of the Shell Traffic Games and is open from 10am to 10pm.
Sarawak Shell Bhd is organising it in collaboration with Kuching South City Council, Road Safety Department, police, Road Transport Department, Education Department, and the mall.
Attractions include Safety Belt Convincer, mini Shell Traffic Games, and interactive quiz.
The Safety Belt Convincer enables the public to experience the real impact of speed,
with the hope that it would convince them to always buckle up. It is safe as it goes up to only 10km/hr.
The Convincer also demonstrates why parents should never put baby car seats in the front passenger seat.
The mini quiz tests the public’s knowledge on road signs and actions to take during certain traffic scenarios.
Motorists can also check their traffic summons at the police counter.
The closing of the Shell Traffic Games will be held at the same venue at 2.30pm tomorrow.
