KOTA KINABALU: Nineteen finalists have qualified for the Sweet Memory Idol final which will be held on October 15 at 9pm.
They are Casey Lum, Erma S. Indang, Terence Asangki, Willson Marcus, Ahnna Chia, Hadi Jaidi, Christina Sandra Aloysius, Sahidan Ramli, Shane C.M, Evvyenn Jane Denny, Jester Jeffry, Jason Tai, Angeline Fam, Valen Lo Shie Khai, Jaidijah Jaidi, Jackson Sadival, Dowini James and Augusta Marcus.
Initially only 15 slots were available, but due to similar points obtained by the contestants, the judges decided to add four more to the final list.
Gordon Lee, event manager of Borneo Events Production organizer, was very impressed with the high quality of the contestants, some of whom are finalists of Sabah Idol season one and two as well as a few top Chinese singers who have also won several local and national singing competitions before.
The champion will bring home the RM1,000 cash, a trophy and a Chivas worth RM600.
Three subsidiary titles are also up for grabs. They are Most Popular, Best Costume and Best Showmanship.
