MIRI: The two-day Portrait and Digital Fine Art Photography Workshop held at Dynasty Hotel last Oct 11 and 12 received encouraging response from shutterbugs here.

It was organised by Sarawak Malay Wedding and Portrait Photographers Malaysia (MWPPM) to educate local photographers on digital fine art photography.

According to organising chairman Mohammad Faisal Hassan who is also head of MWPPM Sarawak, the workshop was conducted by Kenvin Pinardy, a professional photographer from Jakarta, Indonesia.

Kenvin’s artwork has been published locally and internationally and his concept of digital fine art photography is well known among photographers.

He has conducted photography workshops in Indonesia, Malaysia and Europe. Next year, he will be conducting it in Rotterdam, Netherlands.

“Among others, the workshop aims to foster ties and enable exchange of knowledge among photographers in Miri,” Mohammad said.

He added it can expose participants to valuable knowledge to improve their photography skills, especially knowledge on digital fine art photography which is becoming popular.
