KUCHING: FAME International College (FAME) will be organising the first FAME Fair 2014 at their campus in Brighton Square, Jalan Song here today (Nov 22).
According to a press statement from the college, various stalls will be set up by students as a platform to display and execute their business skills.
It is also to encourage the students to be actively involved in entrepreneurship and gain experience in managing a business.
As part of FAME’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, part of the proceeds will be donated to the Kuching Autistic Association and Sarawak Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SSPCA).
Students will work in groups to plan and manage their stalls and will be judged on creativity, marketing, organisation and sales. The best team will win themselves the grand prize of RM1,000.
There will be carwash, music, entertainment and recycling stations by the students apart from stalls by local vendors from Kuching.
The public are also invited to bring along their old clothes, toys and books for recycling. The FAME Fair 2014 tickets can be purchased at FAME International College before and during the day itself.
FAME is a private higher education provider in Malaysia providing Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), Certified Accounting Technician (CAT), Diploma in Accounting and Finance, Diploma in Business Administration, Diploma in Business Information Systems and Diploma in Entrepreneurship. FAME diploma graduates can also further their studies at universities affiliated with FAME such as University of Sunderland (UK), University of Portsmouth (UK), Oxford Brookes University (UK), University of Derby (UK), Southern Cross University (Australia), BPP University College (UK), Anglia Ruskin University (UK), Management Development Institute of Singapore (MDIS) and FTMS Global KL.
