KUCHING: UCSI University’s students from its Diploma in Hotel Management, Culinary Arts, and Leisure Management programme will be organising the Korean showcase on Nov 22-23 from 11am to 9pm at Boulevard shopping mall here.
The event, with 41 students participating, is part of the Korean Night 2014 to be held on Nov 29 at The Quad Restaurant, UCSI University Sarawak campus.
It is organised to raise awareness of Korean cuisine, culture and performance among the locals and to showcase the students’ culinary skills and cultural performances.
Among the activities will be The Next Big Chef Season 2, Korean traditional dances, face painting or Korean makeup, Korean language booth, food and mocktail tasting, lucky draws and games.
UCSI University is the first leading private university in Malaysia appointed by the Korea Agro-Fisheries and Food Trade Corporation to deliver a Korean cuisine programme in line with the Korean Government’s efforts to promote culture, food and music around the world.
UCSI University Sarawak campus offers programmes ranging from diplomas in the fields of hotel management, culinary arts and leisure management to degrees in commerce, event and tourism management as well as hospitality management. The Centre for Pre-U studies offers foundations in both science and arts.
