Labuan primary students attend police programme

LABUAN: Labuan police recently made an engagement with primary school students before the school holiday began to expose them to crime elements.

Labuan Police chief, Superintendant Adzhar Othman said that the reaching out programme with the students of SJK(C) Chi Wen and SK Pekan 1 schools were meant to remind the students to spend their holidays with positive things.

“We do not want the students committing the unhealthy things during their school holidays,” he said, adding that the students were briefed about personal safety, drugs, self-discipline and others.

During the programme, the students also learned about the police career and were invited to ride police vehicles for that purpose.

Some goody bags were also distributed to the students by the police.
