Petronas introduces industry’s first 0W-20 commercial vehicle lubricant

TURIN, Italy: PETRONAS Lubricants International introduced the industry’s first 0W-20 heavy duty diesel engine oil, the PETRONAS Urania Next 0W-20, in Turin.

Developed for the new Euro VI generation engines, the PETRONAS Urania Next 0W-20 is a result of PETRONAS Lubricant International’s long-term technical collaboration with Iveco, a leading globalbrand in truck and diesel engine manufacturing.

Developed exclusively for Iveco’s global fleet, the PETRONAS Urania Next 0W-20 commercial vehicle lubricant is qualified to Iveco Standard 18-1804 TLV LS and is develop for enhanced fuel economy with proven fuel savings up to 2.5% in specific vehicle operating conditions.

The PETRONAS Urania selection of products is the recommended engine lubricant for Iveco’s full range of light and heavy duty commercial vehicles, and is also used by the Team PETRONAS De Rooy Iveco to compete in the 2015 Dakar – recognised as the most gruelling off-road endurance rally in the world.

PETRONAS Lubricants International and Iveco announced their renewed partnership for the 2015 Dakar, at a press briefing in Turin today. The 2015 Dakar marks the fourth time the two companies have teamed up, and will see the Team PETRONAS De Rooy Iveco, piloted by Gerard De Rooy,competing in the truck category to cover nearly 9,000 kilometer (5,500 miles) across Argentina, Chile and Bolivia from 3rd to 17thof January 2015. — Bernama
