SIBU: More than 2,000 friends and relatives attended the wedding reception of Mathew Lau Hing Yii and Lu Jing Yuan at a leading hotel here on Saturday night.
Matthew is the second son of Albert Lau Pek Kii, vice-chairman of the Federation of World Fuzhou Association, vice-president of the Federation of Malaysia Fuzhou Association and the chairman of Sibu Foochow Association.
Lu is the daughter of Lu Jin Xiang from Shanghai.
Among them were members of Sarawak Pan Chen Lau Clan Association, Sibu Ming Ching Tung Hiong Huey Clan Association, Foochow clan associations, community leaders, members of local social organisations, business associates and others.
