SIBU: A woman singer in her 30s from Kuching, tricked to go to Kanowit for a performance which never took place, stormed into the police station yesterday to lodge a complaint.
She had performed in Sibu Jaya last week and on her return to Kuching received an SMS purportedly from a secondary school teacher engaging her for a performance in Kanowit.
The woman accompanied by her brother and a friend arrived in Kanowit last Sunday.
When she realised there was no event, she felt tricked and decided to lodge a police report.

Meanwhile, a motorcyclist was admitted to the Sibu Hospital here after he collided head-on with a van at 11.30pm last Sunday.
The man, 33, from Lada Road fell off his motorcycle while the van hit a lamp post.
Civil Defence Department personnel sent him to the hospital.
