KUCHING: Sarawak-based Weida Bhd announced the appointment of Datuk Jamelah Jamaluddin as its newest member to its board of directorship.
In a statement to Bursa Malaysia late Friday, Weida said Jamelah joined as an independent non- executive director.
She holds a Masters in Business Administration from Central Michigan University, US and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Western Michigan University.
Previously, she was appointed the managing director of Kuwait Finance House (Malaysia) Labuan Berhad from March 2013 to September 2013 and chief executive officer (CEO) of Kuwait Finance House (Malaysia) Labuan Berhad from February 2010 to March 2013.
She served RHB Islamic Bank Bhd as managing director from August 2007 to January 2010.
Presently, she is the executive chairman of 3P Capital Partners Sdn Bhd.
Her previous working experience was with companies such as RHB Sakura Merchant Bankers Bhd, Macquarie Malaysia (M) Sdn Bhd and Macquarie Bank Ltd (Labuan Branch).
Her directorship of public companies include Scomi Energy Services Bhd, Kumpulan Jetson Bhd, Small Medium Enterprise Development Bank Malaysia Bhd, Edra Global Energy Bhd and PMB Tijari Bhd.
