KUCHING: A woman was brought to a clinic with suspected self-inflicted cuts to her arm yesterday morning.

The 24-year-old from Kampung Buntal was found by her roommate at their rented unit at Mile 3 with three cuts on her right forearm. The roommate, who brought her to a clinic in Satok for treatment, told the doctor there that the victim was attacked by someone.

When the victim was referred to Sarawak General Hospital around 11am, she kept silent when asked how she got the cuts. But the nature of the cuts which were parallel to each other on the lower part of her forearm led doctors to suspect she had deliberately slashed herself for unknown reasons.

In an unrelated incident, a teenage motorcyclist broke a leg after a fourvehicle collision along Jalan Stakan on Tuesday night.

The 17-year-old from Kampung Kuap Melayu was riding alongside a Proton Gen-2 when the two vehicles sideswiped each other causing him to fall into the opposite lane where he was struck by an oncoming Perodua Viva.

Meanwhile, the car driver had lost control of his vehicle following the initial bump with the bike and ended up rear-ending a Toyota Alphard.

The teen was the only one injured in the incident and was sent to Sarawak General Hospital where he was admitted with a fractured right leg.
