KUCHING: AirAsia X Bhd (AirAsia X) has appointed Datuk Kamarudin Meranun as the group chief executive officer (CEO) and Benyamin Ismail as the acting CEO with immediate effect.
The company told Bursa Malaysia today that Kamarudin and Benyamin will spearhead the carrier with the reorganisation and turnaround exercise to strengthen the company’s financial performance and maximise profitability in ensuring the company is in better financial footing.
In the meantime, AirAsia X also confirmed that Azran Osman Rani has ceased from the CEO’s office with effect today (Jan 30).
AirAsia X added there was no truth to rumours speculating on the resignation of the company’s chief financial officer.
