50 Dayak contractors and professionals attend GST dialogue organised by DCCI

KUCHING: Around 50 Dayak contractors and professionals attended a dialogue on Goods and Services Tax (GST) organised by Dayak Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) at a hotel here recently.

The purpose of the dialogue was to prepare Dayak-owned businesses for the GST which will be implemented on April 1 and was a platform to discuss related issues.

Among the crucial information explained by state Customs senior assistant director of GST unit, Noelle Lily Morse, were GST (Relief) Order 2014, list of taxable goods and non-taxable goods, salient features of GST, accounting for tax, implementation of GST and business preparation.

The event was officiated by DCCI president Datuk Joseph Salang Gandum and DCCI vice president and works committee chairman Leonard Martin Uning who acted as the moderator for the dialogue.

Among those present were DCCI deputy president Kilat Beriak, and vice presidents Dato Winsel Ahtos, Christopher Gira and Gerawat Gala.
