KUCHING: Those who wish to apply for the 1Malaysia People’s Housing (PR1MA) programme are advised not to apply from people who claim to be PR1MA agents.
PR1MA chief executive officer Dato’ Abdul Mutalib Alias said applications for PR1MA should be applied directly online at www.pr1ma.my.
“There’s no such thing as PR1MA agents, but we have had cases where individuals were conned by those who claimed they could help them in scoring a housing unit under PR1MA,” he told a press conference after accompanying PR1MA chairman Tan Sri Dr Jamaludin Jarjis to pay a courtesy call on Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Adenan Satem here yesterday.
He added that 137 individuals had been cheated by so-called PR1MA agents in the peninsula ever since the programme was launched.
“They were cheated of RM2,000 each.
“As such, those who wish to apply for PR1MA should deal directly with us by registering online and not believe in what the ‘agents’ promise them.”
