LIMA’ 2015 special commemorative cover with postmark.
KUALA LUMPUR: Pos Malaysia will be issuing special commemorative covers in conjunction with the highly anticipated Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace Exhibition 2015 (LIMA ’15).
The covers, to be sold from March 17, will give maritime and aerospace fans the opportunity to own a piece of history.
A total of 50,000 special commemorative covers depicting the air shows – one of the most interesting aspects of the LIMA exhibitions – will be sold at only RM2.50 from March 17 to 21.
The special cover package includes a RM2 preprinted stamp featuring the elements of maritime and aerospace assets like ships, helicopters and fighter and commercial jets.
“This biennial exhibition does Malaysia proud as it promotes the country in the global arena. Pos Malaysia honours this prestigious international event that focuses on the maritime and aerospace industry.
“Souvenir hunters and philatelic lovers should not miss buying this collection,” said Pos Malaysia Covering Group chief executive officer Azlan Shahrim.
Pos Malaysia, to mark the occasion, will also use a special postmark – ‘Pameran Antarabangsa Maritim dan Aeroangkasa Langkawi Ke-13, 17.03.2015 Langkawi’ on March 17.
“Our special postmark is set to appear on mail sent from LIMA site to anywhere in the world on Tuesday,” he added.
Azlan encouraged the public to register as standing order deposit account (SODA) members for the convenience of getting the products without queuing at the post office and to ensure stamp enthusiasts do not miss any collections such as this.
“Registering with SODA at www.posonline.com.my allows you to receive these special commemorative covers on the day of issue without having to queue at the post office. This site also allows customers to be notified of new issues,” he added.
