‘Cuti-Cuti Tutong’ concludes with 3KM Jalan Santai

TUTONG: A recreational activity with the concept “Jalan Santai” or “Recreational Walk” attracted participation of the public in conjunction with The Tutong Holiday Festivals. The 3-kilometer activity began yesterday from the Community Hall Complex’s Square in Tutong District, to Tatangan Persiaran Tutong River, Brudirect reported.

It is one of the healthy and recreational activities jointly organised by Tutong District Office with the Municipal Department and Tutong District Mukim and Village Consultative Councils.

Among those participating in the activity was Dr. Haji Abdul Manaf bin Haji Metussin, the Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Home Affairs, the member of Legislative Council, Yang Berhormat Awg Haji Ramli bin Haji Lahit who is also the Penghulu of Mukim Telisai and Awg Wardi bin Haji Mohammad Ali, the Tutong District Officer as the co-chairman of the Tutong Holiday Festivals Committee.

Such a festival provides opportunities to the public to spend the first term school holiday in the country with their families. The festival also included health screening, bazaar, boat sports and cruise along the Tutong River by using the cruise boat services.
