SARIKEI: A photography contest held in connection with this year’s Pineapple Fest will run until April 30.
Sarikei District Council (SDC) chairman Chan Phan Chan told a press conference that the contest themed ‘Beautiful Sarikei’ is divided into three categories – Landscape and Development; Community and Cultural Development; and Economic Development.
The top three prizes for each category are RM750, RM550 and RM350, as well as a trophy and certificate each.
There are also 10 consolation prizes of RM100, a trophy and a certificate each.
Participants are required to capture photographs within the division during the contest period.
All Malaysians can take part and submit any number of entries, which must be submitted in 8R size together with the entry forms by 4.30pm on April 30.

Winners would be announced during the Pineapple Fest from May 1–10.
