MIRI: After the successful launch and positive response to the Senadin Gateway Phase 1, Green Summit Development Sdn Bhd (Green Summit) is pleased to unveil another 44 units
of three-storey shoplots in Senadin Gateway Phase 2 to the public.

Similar to Phase 1 (where the units are fully sold out), the development concept of Phase 2 would still focus on creating a neighbourhood community its CEO James Hii told the press yesterday.

“Besides maintaining the existing idea, an additional new development factor will be injected in Phase 2 – ‘Edutainment’, a place that comprises education and entertainment where people can enjoy fun and learn at the same time,” he added.

He said Senadin, one of the fastest growing new townships in Sarawak, is known for its educational community with a number of well-established education institutes such as Curtin University Sarawak and Tenby International School.

“Therefore, Green Summit wishes to extend this vision of emphasising the importance of learning by targeting to attract different kinds of learning institutes that include music school, tuition school, dancing class and various curriculum centre to invest in the Phase 2 shoplots,” Hii added.

The growing Miri population of over 100,000 augurs well for Senadin Gateway with the theme ‘Your Neighborhood Community’ that provides the public with the most complete lifestyle covering living, dining and entertainment.

The project synergises itself with existing resources that include local education institutions, schools, petrol stations, restaurants and religious buildings such as church, temple and surau.

With gross development value exceeding RM100 million, apart from the 108 units of shoplots, the main landmark will be a three-storey shopping mall which will occupy a gross area of over 300,000 square feet.

Named as JoyUs Senadin Neighborhood Mall, (from ‘Joy with Us), it will be divided into three levels of service whereby the ground floor will be used for daily necessities like food and household products, the first floor for fashion and lifestyle while the main theme of the top floor will be entertainment, with a cinema that caters for 1,000 viewers.

Nam Leong Retail Group will be the anchor tenant. There are also several other brands and tenants who have declared their interest in the mall. They include Ma Baker Cafe Bakery, Red One, SugarBun, Dessert Master, Torazou Ramen, Ad Jeans, King Archery and karaoke outlet.

The soft opening of JoyUs Senadin Neighborhood Mall is scheduled to be held in the third quarter of 2017.
