KUCHING: Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Adenan Satem participated in a fruitful and engaging session with Sarawakian students and working professionals during an official visit in London yesterday.

A statement from the Chief Minister’s office said those present came from as far as Scotland to meet Adenan, who shared with them the latest developments in Sarawak particularly on his vision, new policies and initiatives on timber, plantation and rural development.

The audience also showed a high degree of appreciation for the Chief Minister’s initiatives in combating illegal logging, reducing electricity tariffs, abolishment of the Lanang Bridge toll, introduction of a nominal RM1 ferry charge and more.

Students who were present also gave Adenan positive feedback on how they enjoyed his speeches, which they have followed closely online via Facebook, YouTube and so on.

The audience also truly valued Adenan’s candour, humility and direct approach.

Adenan is welcomed by Sarawakian students and working professionals in the UK.
