See Hua Marketing to launch Mitraf 7

MIRI: See Hua Marketing Sdn Bhd (SHM) in collaboration with Bintang Megamall and Meritz Hotel will hold the seventh Miri Trade Fair (Mitraf 7) from today (May 7) until Sunday.

A total of 60 vendors ranging from small and medium enterprises to corporations, including those from Taiwan, Peninsular Malaysia, Kuching and Kota Kinabalu will showcase their products.

They range from electronic to electrical items, furniture and bedding, kitchen and sanitary ware, tools and equipment, home improvement, handy smart tools, property development, general trading, education, optical, repairs and maintenance, food and beverages, financial planning institutions, information technology, bridal services, as well as beauty and slimming services.

A new event will be the Pet Fair featuring exotic animals such as pythons, corn snake, four-foot crocodile, baby crocodile, alligator from the Amazon, monitor lizard, varieties of birds, and over 20 types of spiders.

Admission for the Pet Fair, jointly organised by Miri Crocodile Farm and Wildlife Park, Royce’s Tarantula and V-Pet Centre, is RM5 per person and part of the proceeds will go to Miri Autism Association.

The education fair section features Taiwanese and local higher learning institutions.

Today, (May 7) there will be a GSC movie ticket redemption event for See Hua Group of newspaper subscribers and Indocafe gift redemption for subscribers and readers; 15-minute Borneo Jazz preview; and Chinese Folk Songs Competition.

Tomorrow (May 8), there will be a GSC movie ticket and Indocafe gift redemption event; while the grand opening ceremony by Miri Mayor Lawrence Lai and Miri Housing Group executive chairman Datuk Prof Lau Siu Wai will be held at 7pm.

Astro Classic Golden Melody Singing Competition 2015 champion Dennis Lee will entertain the crowd.

On Saturday, there will be a GSC movie ticket and Indocafe gift redemption event; SMK Chung Hua charity sale; Sudoku competition; Weekend music – MHLS style by the Miri Harmony Cultural Club; kids’ talent show by the Miri Music Society’s Xiao Dou Ya; Wedding Couture’s bridal show as well as a Chinese orchestra performance by the Pei Min Middle School brass band unit.

The final day will see a charity sale by Riam Road Secondary School; children’s colouring contest; album promotion and autograph signing session by Astro Classic Golden Melody Singing Competition 2013 champion Nicole Hon; cooking competition by the Kung Siong Association Miri Women’s wing; Kumang Gawai Kanak-Kanak pageant; stage performance by Fajar International College; and grand lucky draw.

The main sponsors are United Fusion Sdn Bhd, KM Mobil Sdn Bhd, Sistem Home Concept Sdn Bhd and Naim Land Sdn Bhd.

Those who spend a minimum of RM500 on booking fees on property or motor vehicles or RM100 at participating booths can register at the See Hua service counter on the second floor of Bintang Megamall.

Mitraf 7 is endorsed by Miri City Council and admission is free.
