MIRI: The semi-finalist of the AXN reality show ‘Asia’s Got Talents’, Sada Borneo, will sign a deal with Sony Music Entertainment.
Group band leader, Hallan Hashim shared the news at a press conference at Alley Kitchen and Bar on Friday.
The press conference was arranged by Miri City Council as Sada Borneo joins other invited artists to perform during the Miri City Day 10th Anniversary Concert today at Miri City Fan.
On hand to welcome them were Miri Mayor Lawrence Lai and councillors.
“We are going to sign a contract with Sony Music Entertainment and are really excited about it,” Hallan said.
The band aspires to further promote Malaysian traditional music to the international level.
Their sound comes from a combination of modern western music with traditional Malaysian music.
At the same time, he said it was an honour for Sada Borneo to perform at the concert in conjunction with the Miri City 10th Anniversary Celebration, where they will play two of their songs.
Additionally, two top teams from Astro Battleground 2014, Fearless and S-Strikers will also perform at the concert.
