KUALA TERENGGANU: Another victim of the accident yesterday at kilometre 386.6, Ajil-Bukit Besi, East Coast Highway, passed away this afternoon without regaining consciousness.
Hulu Terengganu district police chief Hussin Deraman said Hafshah Wangai, 56, succumbed to severe head injuries around 4.10 pm at Hospital Sultanah Nur Zahirah (Hsnz) here.
“She was brought to Hulu Terengganu hospital before being rushed to Hsnz,” he said when contacted by Bernama here.
Yesterday, a family of four including two children perished after the car they were travelling in caught fire after being rammed by a lorry.
In the 4.30 pm incident, the driver of the car, Ahmad Razi Harun, 53, Dayang Suhana, 23, Umar Rayyan Suhaimi, 6, and Nur Damia Irdiha Rosailan, aged one year, lost their lives.
The lorry driver aged 35, was remanded to assist in investigations. –BERNAMA
