KOTA KINABALU: A man will stand trial on September 8-9 this year at the Magistrate’s Court here for a charge of molesting a woman in a minibus.
Magistrate Mohd Faiz Omar set the trial dates for Jafari @ Jefri Zaini, who was charged under Section 354 of the Penal Code, when the case came up for case management yesterday.
The indictment carries a maximum jail of 10 years or with a fine and whipping, upon conviction.
The 47-year-old accused was alleged to have molested the woman in a moving mini bus from a school in Jalan Tuaran to Menggatal at 12.30pm on June 5.
He is currently released on RM2,500 bail with two local sureties pending disposal of the case.
