KOTA KINABALU: A house and two cars were destroyed in a fire at Kampung Rani in Tuaran here yesterday.
Sabah Fire and Rescue Department public relations officer, Superintendent Mohd Affendy Ramli said the department received a call at 12.09 am and immediately dispatched two fire engines to the scene.
He said the fire was under control by 2.24 am but the house, which was a semi-permanent house, was destroyed and one of the vehicles was badly damaged while another car’s bonnet was burnt.
“The properties involved were a 40×50 square feet semi-permanent house and two Perodua Kancil cars which were heavily damaged in the fire incident,” said Affendy.
He said that a woman was also injured and was sent to a hospital while the cause of the fire and total loss are still under investigation.
