KOTA KINABALU: Twin Skies Seafood Restaurant owner Benson Chang along with Waterfront Urban Development (WUD) executive director cum Sabah Tennis Association president Johnson Koh and Yayasan Kebajikan Suria Kawasan Permas Johor Bahru secretary James Ho recently handed over a contribution totalling RM42,000 in aid of the earthquake victims to Tourism, Culture and Environment Minister Datuk Seri Panglima Masidi Manjun.

The donation is a joint initiative by Johnson, James and Ding Toy Huah, the former students of Kolej Serdang (Kolej Pertanian Malaysia) 1974 and Sultan Yusuf School (SYS) Alumni Batu Gajah, as well as Twin Skies.

“Many of us have climbed Mount Kinabalu and have only fond memories of it. When we heard of the earthquake, we can feel the difficulty faced by the victims even though we are far away in the Peninsular Malaysia.

“That is why we made the effort to raise funds to help those affected by the earthquake. Although our contribution is not much, all of this is born from our sincere hearts,,” said Ho after the ceremony.

Also present were the ministry’s permanent secretary Ginun Yangus and Sabah Parks Finance, Administration and Human Resources assistant director Daring Laban.
