Community leader freaks out over his ‘missing’ 4WD

SERIAN: It was a case of forgetfulness for a local community leader who caused a small panic after attending a security briefing at the community hall here yesterday.

It is said that the community leader was frantic with worry upon finding his four-wheel drive vehicle (4WD) missing from the spot where he claimed to have parked it earlier.

He then returned to the hall and told other community leaders about the incident, insisting that it was exactly where he had parked the vehicle when they suggested for him to look at other places.

“I’m very sure that that was where I parked my car just now – under that very tree,” he was heard telling others at the hall.

Several police personnel, which were involved in the briefing earlier, immediately contacted mobile patrollers to be on the lookout for the ‘missing’ 4WD.

It was then that the said community leader wandered off into the adjacent carpark and there, he saw his ‘allegedly stolen’ vehicle.

He later went to see police and told them about the discovery, blaming the whole incident on his forgetfulness.
