Villagers and staff of the State Information Department raise the Jalur Gemilang.
KOTA SAMARAHAN: Over 30 vehicles and 200 participants were involved in the ‘Flying the National Flag Jalur Gemilang’ programme organised by the State Information Department here yesterday.
The convoy was flagged off by Kedup assemblyman Martin Ben at the Serian Information office. The campaign is held annually at the department and the official launch is scheduled to be held on Aug 10 at Padang Merdeka in Kuching.
The objective of the event is to enhance the spirit of patriotism of people of various races apart from instilling love for the country. Apart from that, the convoy aims to add merriment to the nationwide campaign leading up to National Day.
