According to Chua, the ‘test lane’ was actually a compulsory procedure in Europe and American regions when any car was sent for undercar services. The function of the ‘test lane’ was to conduct a comprehensive evaluation on the condition of a vehicle’s shock absorbers, brakes and wheel alignment.
“The ‘test lane’ is connected to a reporting system where it will print out a detailed diagnosis of the condition of your vehicle and since this diagnosis is complicated, only a trained professional can read it.
“It is more precise compared to an inspection done by an experienced mechanic,” he said.
The ‘test lane’ which costs only RM30 and takes around 10 minutes is suited for four-wheel-drives and commercial cars that are experiencing conditions such as noisy steering or suspension, off centre steering wheel, uneven braking, uneven tyre wear or generally if the driver feels unsafe.
Apart from the ‘test lane’, Chua’s team will also provide a personal inspection and if needed, a test-drive to check for any existing problems.
