KUALA LUMPUR: The police are offering a financial reward to anyone who can provide information leading to the arrest of the individuals who had stepped on a picture of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak and PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang, at the Berish 4 rally recently.

Kuala Lumpur CID chief Datuk Zainuddin Ahmad said the police viewed the act seriously because it created a tense atmosphere which evoked public disorder in the country.

“The police has to take action in accordance with the law to ensure such things do not trigger a reaction from any party which will ultimately affect public safety,” he said in a statement here, yesterday.

He however, did not specify the amount offered.

Accordingly, the police urged anyone with information on those involved in the incident to come forward and help with the investigation. — Bernama
