KOTA KINABALU: President of the Federation of Chinese Associations Sabah (FCAS) Datuk Seri Panglima Dr T.C. Goh has donated a total of RM360,000 to Chinese associations and Chinese independent schools.

Goh presented the contributions to the respective beneficiaries during the second wedding banquet reception of his eldest son Andy Goh and Michelle Wong at Hakka Hall here on Wednesday.

The first wedding reception of the couple was held on September 14, which was graced by the Head of State Tun Haji Juhar Datuk Hj Mahiruddin and Chief Minister of Sabah Datuk Seri Panglima Musa Haji Aman.

Goh donated RM120,000 to Sabah Tshung Tsin Secondary School (STTSS) towards the construction of the school’s student hostel, RM100,000 to The Federation of Chinese Associations Malaysia (Huazong) to erect its own RM80 million building, RM50,000 to his alma mater Pay Fong Middle School in Malacca as expansion development funds, as well as RM10,000 to The Federation of Chinese Associations Pahang State for organizing the 32nd National Chinese Cultural Festival.

Having three children who graduated from Chinese independent schools, Goh also contributed education funds of RM10,000 each to Chinese independent schools in Sabah.

They include Sekolah Menengah (SM) Kian Kok, Papar Middle School, SM Pei Tsin Kudat, Yu Yuan Secondary School, Sandakan, Beaufort Middle School, Lahad Datu Middle School, Tenom Tshung Tsin Secondary School and Sabah Chinese High School, Tawau.

On hand to witness the handing-over of contributions were Goh’s spouse Datin Joanne Ho, Andy, Michelle, the bride’s parents Wong Kam Chye and Chin Nyuk Fun and others.
