SEBUYAU: Twenty-two heads of cattle were sacrificed in Sebuyau constituency in conjunction with Hari Raya Korban on Thursday.
The function held at Sebuyau sub-district office involved three villages – Kpg Baru, Belakang Pasar and Lot Kpg Sebuyau. Officiating at the function was the local assemblyman Datuk Julaihi Narawi, who is also Assistant Minister of Industrial Development (Investment and Promotion).
Julaihi said the cattle were donated by Samarahan Mosque Welfare Trust Board and Jawatankuasa Ibadah Korban Sebuyau.
Earlier, Julaihi also visited five villages – Kpg Jalan Sawmill, Ulu Sebuyau, Masjid Sebuyau, Seberang and Tebelu – to meet the villagers for similar event.
Later, he presented minor rural project (MRP) of RM50,000 each to the management committee of Kpg Masjid Sebuyau and village development and security committee (JKKK) of Lot Kpg Sebuyau Extension Scheme and another RM30,000 to village development and security committee of Kpg Seberang.
Sebuyau sub-district SAO Ajis Ahmad and Sebuyau PBB deputy chief Asli Yahya were also present.
