Trienekens celebrates annual HSE Day by rewarding teamwork on safety

KUCHING: Employees of Trienekens (Sarawak) Sdn Bhd in Kuching and Bintulu recently celebrated the company’s annual Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Week themed “Team Up To Safety”.

The event was to promote teamwork and remind team members that health, safety and environment are everybody’s business. Emphasising on the importance of the continuous practice of a safety culture at work, the week-long celebration culminated in a special HSE Day event at the company’s Kuching and Bintulu branches.

Trienekens’ projects general manager Alice Lee officiated at the event in Kuching and presented special HSE awards to Trienekens’ outstanding groups and individuals for their past year’s HSE performance.

Recipients of “Outstanding Safe (Municipal Waste) Team Performance” awards were Kipli Bujang and his team members Johari Hop and Hamka Suud; Mannen Collin and his team members Tonik Jali and Sebli Disut; and Samuel Suwer and his team members Edi Sa’ee and Kempus Kawong.

Halmai Ogik was the recipient of “Outstanding Safe Driving (RoRo) Performance” award.

In Bintulu, the individual award for “Outstanding HSE Performance” went to Wilbert Enteri Beliang.

From the Kuching Integrated Waste Management Park, Tay Pricie Bertha Batter and Matthew Boniface Rigod received the “Outstanding Safe Performance in Non-Scheduled Waste Operations” awards, while Kirk Rikom and Rupert Alew got the “Outstanding Safe Performance in Scheduled Waste Operations” awards.

“Outstanding Safe Long-Haul Driving Performance” awards were presented to Danny Goan, Roger Lunggan and Jensonray Sepia.

Kuching Logistics Scheduled Waste Operations Team members Mira Jambau, Awang Yahya Awang Johari and Kennedy Manju got the appreciation awards for achieving “0” Speed Violations for Year 2014/2015.

Kuching Logistics and Services Division received the “Lost Time Injury (LTI) Free Achievement” award; and the “Best Overall Performance in HSE” award went to Kuching Logistics Maintenance Department.

Trienekens organises and celebrates its HSE Day annually to recognise, reinforce, improve and strengthen HSE knowledge, understanding and skills among employees. The event also provides a platform to share information with customers, business partners, and associates.
