Bradford College – your pathway to success.

SIBU: Those looking to further their studies will want to visit an education roadshow at Tanahmas Hotel here today from 1pm to 5pm, followed by a similar one at Four Points by Sheraton in Kuching tomorrow.

Representatives from institutes of higher learning from Australia such as Bradford College, University of Adelaide and Curtin University will be on hand to brief visitors on opportunities for study.

Bradford College was established in collaboration with the University of Adelaide and is a pre-university pathway college, especially for international students.

It is located on the campus of the University of Adelaide and offers two programmes: Foundation Studies and Degree Transfer, which leads to degree programmes at the University of Adelaide.

Major research strengths of the University of Adelaide are: Agricultural, Biological and Environment Research, Engineering, Mathematics, Computing, Information Technology and Telecommunications, Health, Biomedical Sciences and Biotechnology, Humanities and Social Sciences along with Physical, Chemical and Geological Sciences.

Curtin University, on the other hand, offers a wide range of undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programmes in Business, Science and Engineering, Humanities, and Health Science.

Curtin programmes are often reviewed by industry, business and government in order to ensure what students learn is relevant to today’s changing global market.

If students do not automatically qualify for university entry, students can enrol in one of the pathway programmes offered on campus by Curtin College, Perth.

Curtin College is offering Diploma programmes (equivalent to the first year of the degree programme), and the Certificate IV Tertiary Preparation Programme.

Curtin College’s Higher Education Diploma courses are equal to Curtin University’s first year bachelor degree. With this, SPM students may complete their Bachelor degree in two years and eight months instead of three years for most courses.
