JOHOR BAHARU: A contract worker was stabbed to death by his nephew after arguing over a pair of slippers stained with dog’s faeces, at a squatter area in Jalan Kebun Teh Lama, here at 7.40pm on Sunday night.
Johor Baharu Selatan police chief ACP Sulaiman Salleh said the victim, Sahral Asmara, a 52-year-old Indonesian man with permanent resident status, was stabbed with an eight-inch long knife in his right waist.
“Before the incident, the victim was believed to have been involved in an argument with the suspect over a stained pair
of slippers. The argument heated up and the suspect stabbed Sahral in anger,” he said in a statement here yesterday. — Bernama
