Firemen working to free the trapped victim.
SARIKEI: One passenger was seriously hurt while others suffered minor injuries in a head-on collision between a Proton Wira and Proton Saga in Sebangkoi area about 21km from here yesterday morning.
The mishap happened around 7.10 am when the Wira travelling from Saratok allegedly entered the opposite lane and
crashed head-on with the oncoming Saga.
The seriously injured victim was a front-seat passenger in the Wira, a 44-year old woman while the driver and a passenger in the back seat were slightly injured.
The driver of the Proton Saga who was travelling alone was not injured.
District Fire and Rescue Services (Bomba) station which received a call at 7.15 am dispatched a team of firemen to the scene.
On arrival at the scene, they were informed of a passenger trapped in the Wira car whom they managed to extricate in about 10 minutes.
