SIBU: ML Educational Services will hold its 41st education fair at Imperial Palace Hotel, Miri on Saturday (Dec 12) and at Promenade Hotel, Kota Kinabalu on Sunday (Dec 13) from 1pm to 5pm.

A press statement released here yesterday said the education fair will help students make the right choice for tertiary education.

“The education fair is a fine opportunity for school leavers to expand their knowledge through free consultation for students and parents such as on the admission requirements, career pathway, scholarships available, student visas, accommodation arrangement, tuition fees and many more,” said the statement.

“The students will be able to get the latest information about institutions or the courses they are interested in, and speak to the education consultants on various courses.”

Visitors will get first-hand information on courses available, admission requirements, tuition fees, future prospects, scholarships and accommodation arrangements from representatives of education institutions in Ireland, the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, Russia and Malaysia.

Students are advised to bring along their forecast results or result slips and relevant documents for accurate assessments.

On studying in Ireland, the statement said it is the only English-speaking country in the eurozone, the European hub for leading global companies such as Google, Facebook and Electronic Arts Games.

The country’s tertiary institutions collaborate with industries and international businesses to guarantee students graduate with the necessary skills for higher employability.

“The tuition costs vary, depending on the institutions and the courses.

“There are a number of scholarships available for international students from a wide variety of sources such as the Government of Ireland, the Irish higher education institutions and other organisations,” said the statement.

The Institute of Technology, Tralee, which has the School of Business, Computing and Humanities; School of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics; and School of Health and Social Sciences, offers very attractive scholarships to Malaysian citizens.

The University of Hull is a campus university, which blends the traditional with the innovative, so students can experience life on a beautiful green and leafy 125-acre campus, complete with ivy-clad old buildings, while taking advantage of a cutting-edge environment that embraces technology, social connectivity, modern facilities and a global outlook.
