Free merchandise and rebates at FAME Open Day

KUCHING: FAME International College (formerly known as FTMS College) is holding its Open Day starting today until Sunday from 9am to 4pm daily.

Visitors to the open day will be eligible to obtain free limited merchandise such as laptops and printers subject to first come, first serve basis.

There will also be waiver of RM300 registration fees for those who register for the January intake in which terms and conditions apply. Those who are interested to apply for scholarship may also enquire during the three-day event.

Students may apply using their mock Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) results and can expect to choose their courses from Foundation in Business Management, Diploma in Accounting and Finance, Diploma in Business Administration, Diploma in Entrepreneurship, Certificate in Business Studies, Certified Accounting Technician (CAT) and ACCA course in their pursuit for higher learning.

FAME is offering International English Language Testing System (IELTS) programme to students who feel the need to improve their English before deciding on tertiary studies.

The English programme will be a three-month course addressing the four dominant skills of the English language: reading, writing, listening and speaking.

The programme is suitable for students as a preparation for their further academic studies as well as for anyone who wishes to enhance their English before sitting for IELTS.

Students can opt to sit for the IELTS after completing the English programme.

Students are able to further their studies after their Diploma or Foundation at universities affiliated with FAME such as University of Sunderland (UK), University of Portsmouth (UK), Oxford Brookes University (UK), University of Derby (UK), Southern Cross University (Australia), BPP University College (UK), Anglia Ruskin University (UK), University of Essex (UK), Management Development Institute of Singapore (MDIS) and FTMS Global KL.

For those who would like to further their studies locally, FAME offers Bachelor programme in International Business Management and Accounting Finance starting in first quarter of 2016. All courses offered by FAME are accredited and recognised by the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) and Malaysian Qualification Agency (MQA).

Students who did well in SPM mock exam are eligible to apply for scholarships for all Foundation, Diploma courses and Certified Accounting Technician (CAT) courses. For CAT courses, students who achieved 6As and above are eligible to apply for scholarship up to 50 per cent of tuition costs.

Besides that, students who are interested to take up Diploma course and have achieved straight A’s in SPM mock exam are qualified to apply for full scholarship. As for Foundation programme, the first 10 registration are entitled to
30 per cent scholarship on tuition fees.

Furthermore, as part of FAME’s contribution to society, the college offers hardship scholarships for all Diploma courses to students who needs education funds including students who come from single parent family with household income less than RM3,000 per month.

Students with outstanding achievements in sports or other areas of talent recognised at state or national level are also eligible to apply for scholarships.

Students can apply for National Higher Education Funds Corporation (PTPTN), a study loan which is a low-interest loan (one per cent) given out by the government to assist students financially. The college will assist the students in their PTPTN applications.

Course payments can be made via credit card Easy Payment Plan (without interest if paid within 12 months) with Public Bank, RHB Bank and Maybank.

Parents or students can also opt for FAME’s very own interest free, flexible monthly repayment scheme which can be paid over the period up to 25 months.

Alternatively, payments can be made from the withdrawal of savings from the EPF second account for qualified EPF members.

Students are advised to bring along their mock or actual SPM results or UEC results and MyKad for consultation and registration during the 3-day event.

During this December, FAME has extended its consultation hours, Monday to Friday (8.30 am to 7.30 pm daily), Saturday and Sunday (9am to 4pm daily).
