MIRI: A total of 50 contingents will take part in the Maulidur Rasul procession at the Miri Civic Centre today.
A celebration committee spokesperson said there will also be a competition for banners based on the theme ‘Perpaduan Nadi Transformasi Negara’ (Unity the Pulse of National Transformation) and religious talks.
“We are inviting all Muslims in Miri to be present during the Maulidur Rasul celebration, “ she said yesterday.
The event will begin at 6.30am and will feature contingents from government agencies, private firms, banks, primary and secondary schools, tertiary institutions, mosques and suraus, villages as well as various organisations.
“The event is expected to end at 1pm after giving away the prizes to the winners of the different categories,” she added.
