KUCHING: The body of 11-year-old Fakhrul Dahari, who went missing on Tuesday at Kampung Sebungin in Spaoh, Betong, was found yesterday.

State Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) assistant director (operations) Farhan Sufyan Borhan said the body was discovered at 3.45pm around 2km from where he is believed to have been attacked by a crocodile.

He said the search and rescue (SAR) team had used a water surface search at locations around one hour’s journey from where Fakhrul was last seen.

Meanwhile, the Bomba zone three chief Raffy Saibi, who led the SAR operation, said that the body was found floating in the river with bite marks believed to have been caused by a crocodile.
