SIBU: Police seized a shotgun from a man they detained during a raid on a house in Ulu Sungai Merah Road at 12.40am on Friday.
The police D4 Unit combed the house and found a shotgun leaning on a bed in the bedroom. Police believed it was a home-made weapon without licence.
In addition to the seizure, they also detained the occupant of the room. The detainee was a wanted man for a motorcycle theft case.
He is expected to be taken for a urine test and placed under a remand.
Meanwhile, police detained a man for suspected involvement in selling dangerous weapons. Police picked up the man at his house at Kampung Hilir Road at 10pm on Thursday. They also seized a homemade sword from the suspect.
