SIBU: It was a ‘Professional Night’ during the special KTS/Shell Lubricants dinner at a hotel here recently, where guests turned up in costumes that reflected their favourite professions.

The attendees truly enjoyed themselves as they were mingling around, catching up with one another and many taking selfies of themselves and in groups.

Laughter and merriment filled the air as they admired each other’s attire which comprised those worn by pilots, soldiers, stewardesses, nurses, doctors, lawyers, teachers, priests and nuns – there was even one guest donning a Chinese’s ghost costume.

In his remarks, Shell Timur Sdn Bhd general manager for Shell Lubricants in Malaysia and Singapore, Leslie Ng called on all local Shell Lubricants distributors to work closely together as one team to ‘sell more, sell better and be professional’.

“Similar to last year, year 2016 is not going to be easy. However by working closely together, we would be able to face these trying times,” he added.

Ng also expressed his ‘big thank you’ to all Shell Lubricants distributors for their hard work and persistence throughout the challenges last year.

“Despite a challenging 2015, all of you (local Shell Lubricants distributors) still went on with a strong spirit – this is a genuine demonstration of your high commitment.”

KTS Trading Sdn Bhd general manager (finance and accounts) Peter Lau, Shell Timur sales manager for Shell Lubricants (East Malaysia) Choo Sze Wee, Shell Timur marketing manager for Shell Lubricants (Malaysia and Singapore) Alex Lim, were present at the event as well; while Syarikat Sri Minyak Tenaga Sdn Bhd managing director Dato’ S William Tiu, KTS Trading senior manager Ling Leong King, Hong Sing Company manager Lee Wei Pin and Quantum Evershine Sdn Bhd managing director Song Tiing Seng, were some of the lubricant distributors attending the dinner, which was hosted by the lovely and talented Syarikat Sri Minyak Tenaga business development manager Amelia Tiu.

The gathering that night was enlivened by a lucky draw session that offered attractive prizes, singing and dancing performancers, as well as presentation of ‘Best Dressed Men and Women’ awards.
