Malaysia offers Indonesia help following Jakarta bomb blasts

KUALA LUMPUR: Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak said Malaysia will offer help to Indonesia in any way possible following the bomb blasts in Jakarta yesterday.

In his latest tweet, the Prime Minister also said that he was deeply shocked and saddened by the attack.

“Malaysia stands ready to help in any way. Thoughts and prayers (are) with the Indonesian people,” he said.

According to a report, at least six people, among them policemen, were killed and several others injured in several blasts in the vicinity of the Sarinah Mall in Jakarta at 10.50am.

Indonesian Police Public Relations chief Anton Charliyan said several armed men, also carrying grenades, had launched the attack near the Starbucks Restaurant of the mall in Jalan MH Thamrin. — Bernama
