Malaysia strongly condemns bomb attack in Jakarta — Ahmad Zahid

PUTRAJAYA: Malaysia strongly condemned the bomb attack in Jakarta, Indonesia yesterday that has claimed the lives of several innocent people.

Malaysia’s Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said the despicable act must be condemned by the international community.

“Malaysia, as Indonesia’s neighbour, wishes to express its deepest sympathy and heartfelt condolences to the families of those who perished or were injured in today’s bomb attack in Jakarta,” he said in a statement, here, yesterday.

It was reported that at least six people were killed and several others, among them policemen, were injured in several blasts in the vicinity of the Sarinah shopping mall in Jakarta. — Bernama
