SHANGHAI: Superstar Jackie Chan, who is busy promoting Kung Fu Panda 3 together with Hollywood luminaries, maintains he supports movies that help spread Chinese culture.

Commented an upbeat Jackie: “I’m very delighted to see foreign production companies engage in making Chinese animations, helping to spread Chinese culture. So I’m always ready to provide voices for characters in these films.”

In the third instalment of the blockbuster, Jackie is the voice behind Master Monkey in the English version and Po’s biological father in the Chinese version.

Jackie hopes more movies of this nature would be produced to help viewers of other cultures understand China.

Stars of both the English and Chinese versions gathered in Shanghai for the premiere of the movie in China.

Jack Black, who voices the titular role of Po in the English version, joined Kate Hudson on the red carpet.

Kate Hudson who does the voice for a new panda, Mei Mei, who has an obsession with Po, adds a hilarious counterbalance to the movie.

Actor Huang Lei, who voices Po for Chinese audiences and superstar pianist Lang Lang, who plays on the film’s soundtrack also joined the event.
