KUCHING: Head of State Tun Pehin Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud received two courtesy calls at the Astana yesterday.
Kuching South City Council (MBKS) Mayor Datuk James Chan and entourage comprising councilors were the first to come. Deputy mayor Abang Affendi Abang Anuar was also present.
The purpose of the visit was to introduce the councilors comprising community leaders, developers, businessmen and association leaders to Taib.
Later, he received a courtesy call from China’s Consul General Fu Jijun.
