SERIAN: United People’s Party (UPP) Serian branch is very optimistic and confident that Sarawakians in both urban and rural areas will translate their support for Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Adenan Satem into votes for Barisan Nasional in the coming state election.

Branch chairman Cr Senior William Rade highlighted the fact that Adenan has succeeded in implementing no less than 50 major decisions and policies benefiting Sarawakians in just a short span of two years since taking the helm as chief minister.

“The Chief Minister showed that he has the interests of Sarawakians at heart. We would love to see him achieve more for Sarawak particularly in safeguarding and claiming back our rights.

“We in United People’s Party, led by our president Dato Sri Wong Soon Koh, strongly and solidly support the leadership of the Chief Minister to lead Sarawak for the next five years.

“And we believe Sarawakians will give Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Adenan a huge mandate of five more solid years to continue leading the state so that he can do more for Sarawak,” he said.

Senior, who is a councillor with Serian District Council, mentioned these to the media after presenting contributions comprising rice, sugar and cooking oil from UPP Serian to 135 families affected by the recent flood.

“This is part of our community service to the people and at the same time, this shows the party leadership is concerned for the welfare of the people especially those affected by natural disasters,” said Senior, adding the recipients were from Slabi Sangkam and the surrounding villages.
