IPOH: Four people are reported to be in critical condition in Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital here, believed due to food poisoning.
State Health, Public Transport, Non-Muslim Affairs, National Integration and New Village Committee chairman Datuk Dr Mah Hang Soon said the four had eaten food contaminated with insecticide (organophosphate) at a Batu Gajah restaurant.
“All four people in critical condition were admitted to ward today,” he said when contacted by Bernama tonight.
Mah denied talks that one person had died following the incident which went viral on social network sites.
He advised the public not to worry and assured that they would investigate the cause of the contamination.–BERNAMA
