Dewan Rakyat Speaker Tan Sri Pandikar Amin Mulia, when beginning the Parliament session yesterday requested Muslim members of parliament (MPs) to recite the ‘surah Ah-Fatihah’ while non-Muslim members observed the one-minute of silence.

He said the search mission by three countries namely Malaysia, Australia and China now entered the second phase in an area measuring 120,000 sq km in the southern Indian Ocean.

“The disappearance of the flight MH370 carrying 239 passengers and crew is now exactly two years old. The governments of Malaysia, Australia and the People’s Republic of China remain committed in the search mission for the aircraft,” he said.

According to him, the disappearance of the flight MH370 was a sad tragedy that was heartbreaking for Malaysians.

“The House hopes that all the next of kin of the passengers and crew of MH370 remain strong and resolute in facing the test and accepting fate. We pray that the almighty Allah blesses their soul and places them among the righteous.” —Bernama
