CCTV captures duo stealing tubes of facial cleansers

SIBU: Surveillance recording has managed to capture the act of two men stealing tubes of facial cleansers from a pharmacy near Market Road here early Friday.

According to the 36-year-old complainant, the theft occurred around 8am. In the closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage, the two were seen taking seven tubes of facial cleansers worth about RM100 and left without paying for them.

In another case, a civil servant lodged a police report claiming that his identity card had been used by an unknown person. The 43-year-old complainant said he received a call from a telecommunication company about an outstanding bill of RM300. He then went to the company in Keranji Road to seek an explanation.

A counter personnel later said the number was registered under his name. After checking, the personnel told him that the outstanding bill had just been settled by an unknown individual.

Worried about identity theft, he immediately lodged a police report at the central station here, where the officers had advised him to return to the telecommunication company and terminate its service.
