SANDAKAN: Chief Minister Datuk Seri Musa Haji Aman said the State Government would cooperate with Indonesian Government in curbing cross-border crime especially in weakening the kidnap for ransom actively committed by Abu Sayyaf extremist.

Commenting on the recent Indonesian crew members who were kidnapped, Musa said the kidnapping had happened in international waters.

However, the State Government is giving its assistance for the injured tugboat crew who escaped with his four other crew members, Musa said to reporters after officiating at the Batu Putih voting district group meeting at Batu Putih Hall, yesterday.

Musa also hoped that all tugboats and vessels would remain vigilant at all times due to the rising numbers of abduction.
